Has anyone here tried glasspacks on their S197. I have been a fan of them and have put the on trucks, but never on a car. How loud would they be? I like low rumble more than in your face screaming exhaust, and in my past experiences gp's don't have much drone and provided that rumble.

I have to say that it sounds almost the same as a newer Ford truck with Glasspacks.
It has that famous glasspack sound. So if that is what you are after than go for it.
I personally don't like the sound of glasspacks, but that's just me. I love the sound of Flowmasters on a mustang, but other people on this site hate them. So you need to do what makes you happy

Well aside form glass packs does anyone know of a muffler that produces a good low rumble without a lot of drone..... for instance like a flowmaster 50 (cliche) does on a truck

I don't have any drone in my car because on our car the mufflers are behind the rear end. If you want you can come to the house this Weekend and I'll take you in a ride in it

I am as a matter of fact looking into the Magna Flow straight through mufflers (the ones that are like glasspacks) I think i'm going to do a custom setup with 3.5" resonator tips....whenever i find time to do it i'll post pics
