Yah I drove the mustang once in winter with the stock all season Goodyear Eagles. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't do it again. I bought a 4x4 Ranger and save the mustang for those nice spring/summer days.

You could look into some blizzaks or Continental winter tires...you'd only be able to use them in winter but they are much better and more effective than all seasons. I wouldn't say they'll make a drive on cold, icy or snowy roads care free since a 300hp RWD 5spd car is just going to be a chore in those conditions.

I'm just thinking for the price of 4 new tires you could pick up a cheap winter beater to get you through those nasty winter days.

All seasons are a waste of money. They are mediocre in snow, wet and dry. Buy dedicated winter tires or expect treacherous driving. I live in Saskatchewan and I am looking at 4ft of snow out my window right now. Oh n I have a lifted 4x4 for winter. My mustang looked at winter for only a few minutes before the garage door closed. Not a winter car for sure

I would love to have a lifted 4x4 I had a jeep for my first vehicle. I lifted it my self 4 inch with 32's it was a Cherokee so not a full jeep lol. But I loved that think in the snow, and woods. I just got my stang in April. The Mach 1 is my dream car. But for tires I got 16 inch slicks BFG I got off a friend can't wait to run my car again

Hehehe.... I was actually thinking about driving my car this winter but with an inch of snow on the ground it was dangerous.... I was gonna keep the truck as just a work truck. But the I thought about it and I got the best of both worlds.... I feel bad for people that have to drive their mustangs in the snowy winter.... Be careful if you are

I'm running Toyo Proxes 4's on my cobra, I absolutely love the performance I've had this winter! When I lived in jersey (mt laurel) I had an 03 GT w the same tires, same thing, I loved them! Depending on where you get them they can be pricey but WELL worth it! They look good too! (bonus, they're Z rated!)

That's just crazy, those are the "thugs" that should be shot on site that keep using up my precious air supply.
Yup and I am here 5 days out of the week lol. Got to love new jersey, but it puts mods and insurance on my mustang so I am happy just avoid the dealers and be out before 12 am

I live in central pa...and during this past january we have already been pounded with snow several times not counting the past 2 days with an ice storm. The one snow storm we received 8 inches of snow.

I'm driving my 03 Roush GT in these conditions...here are a few simple tips to make it easier.

#1 - Buy all season tires...review their ratings on Tirerack for the snow. I would recommend. Continetal Extreme Contact DWS tires...they get a great 8.6 out of 10 for snow...reading the reviews alot of rear wheel drive sports cars use them with great success.

#2 - Put about 80 lbs in the trunk before the snow starts falling (I use 2 40lb wood pellet bags on a blanket)

#3 - Before the snow falls - fill your gas tank up.

If you do that and drive smart, no real problems.

I bought a set of 98GT wheels with 85% new all-season tires on them for $300 from craigslist...I've made it to work while some front wheel drive cars haven't.

Continental's, huh?! I've researched and I keep coming up on the Dunlop Fierce Instinct's and the Eagle GT's. Since the shops here can't find the Dunlop's that I want, they keep raving about how well the Eagle GT tires are.
