Picked up an extra set of fanblades today for the Cobra. Planning on refinishing them to black with a silver lip. This way, I don't have to screw with the originals that came on it, and I can roll with the wheels I want on there now and still be able to put it back to stock! Plus my originals are in exceptional shape, so I don't want to molest them anyway! Just thought I'd share! Here are a couple that I worked with earlier that are ready for paint! The other pic is what I'm hoping to accomplish!
Plus 1.... There was a thread the other day with someone wanting their rims photoshopped with the lip gone... I was like WTF. It looks deadly... I told him to leave em alone. They were nice just like they were.... You need the lip to accent the black
That was Al, he wants the blackout look and I agree with you. I posted that pic of his wheel all scribbled out and said thats what it would look like.lol
Oh yeah, also picked up an Autometer oil pressure gauge in a pillar pod, and took out my triple gauges. All I need is the oil pressure, I like to keep an eye on that.
I like stock parts....the cars were born with them.... Know what I mean....I got a cool new set of headlights coming tho. Halo with blue on the sides. Bought em from a member here today. They looked awesome on his red new egde
Yup, same concept, just the fanblades instead of the split 3 spoke! I was thinking about a gunmetal color as well? Everyone does the black, and I do really like gunmetal.
So, just because I like to be different, I went with gunmetal.....Don't look too bad if I say so myself. Used the Rustoleum wheel paint, and it turned out quite nice!

That would have been nice, but I didn't feel like spending a sh!t ton of money for paint. I like the gunmetal, plus it's on the different side. Now just to get my tires switched over to these and get some pics of them on the car! Won't be for a while though, so I may just put some new ones on these and then change them out.
My originals already have brand new tires on them, so not sure which way to go. probably just go for new ones on these, f it!
The wheels came out great. Time, patience, and some self discipline can make a set of wheels look bitchin. The original state looked great, but now it's a way different feel.
They probably won't be on for a while, I have to get some tires for them and all that. I'm just going to leave the other tires on my original set. Probably take a month or two to get them on there. Not in a big hurry cause she's still going to be hiding from the snow and salt for a couple of more months at least!
