What's the widest size tire you can put on a 19x9 rim? I wanna go fat in the back.

Depending on what tire brand/side wall you can get a 275/285 easy. I ran 275 on an 8" rim with no issues. No over hang or anything . That was on my G8. They was Dunlop direzza Z101's summer tires.

Yes. I most personally would not push a 295 and defiantly not a 305 on a 9" rim. Most I would do is a 285. Also as mentioned its all going to depend on how made. As some tires run a little wider then others. Nittos seem to run narrow if remember right as KDW's run a little wide.

Bout time for some new tires for my brembo wheels.. Lemme know what you go with.. I was looking at the continental dw tires.. They look pretty nice and decent price for 19s...

I know guys that bought these with there G8's. I say this cause they had less power then you. They hated them. They are decent priced though. If don't want to drop a lot for tires look at some Hankooks. Not to bad of a tire. Fairly cheap compared to other tires in the same category. Such as Nitto/Perelli/KDW's.

But I guess we pay for what we get in tires. I know guys that hate the Nitto 555's. But swear by the KDWII's.

I've always liked the 555s had two sets of them.. Lasted a long time.. And grip was good...But that was on my 04 gt and it was mostly stock other than exhaust and CAI.. I want a good looking tread pattern somethin like the 555s... But not really sure what's got the best grip/mileage.. I do need them to a lil while.. These pirelli summer tires went WAY to fast..you think 275/40-19s would look about right? Prolly just do them all the way around to keep tire height equal and for rotation purposes..

Ya I had no issues with 555's on my 97 Cobra. But it was mainly just bolt ons. Nothing special. A 275/40 would look good. Soon I figure what wheels I am going with I will decide on tires. Some t hing that will last least normal driving and for least 2 years.

Don't buy the Falken's. They suck. I know first hand. Bought a set for the rear cause I got them on the cheap. really slick tires.

Also a 315 is really wide. As stated for a 9" rim I would not go over 285. Maybe a 295 at the most. Most guys running 305+ have 11" rims.

I had the 315/35 nittos on my 04 gt.. Had them on 10.5" fr500s.. They fit perfect.. I'm with him.. No wider than 285 on a 9"

So I guess I'll try 295? Not falken but another 295.
I just want to go as wide as possible

These are. Haven't heard nothing about other ones.

I am looking for tires and I think for the price I am going with the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO K110

for a 255/35/20 they are 144 each 275/30/20 they ware 195 threw Tirerack.com. Might be able to get cheaper as some places will meet and beat others.

Know a few people with them said they are a decent tires.

As said before though. Every one has different views for what tire is good or worth it. As for these will be regular driving wheels and not for racing or the track I am not super worried.

Couple reviews on the Hankooks.

Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 Tire Review - Modified Magazine

"I haven't put enough miles on them yet to comment on durability, but for anyone looking for a UHP summer tire that provides a smooth and sophisticated ride with plenty of dry grip and amazing wet-weather performance, Hankook's new Ventus V12 evo K110s are an excellent choice."

If you do get either of them two let us know how they are. I know a lot of us are always looking for a cheaper tire that still performs well.
