Idea for my heads/intakes

Well as you know the 01+ are different in more than one way.

99-00 lower intake
1) has two sensor holes on the lower
2) had NO intake valves
3) wire loom for plug wires is different (not big deal)


99-00 upper intake
1) vacume line on top is raised a bit but still same place
2) coil pack only has 3 bolts vs 01+ 4, may be an issue.... ideas?

99-00 heads
1) no sensors on the back of the head like 01+ has

01+ lower intake
1) only has one sensor the other is located on the driver side head
2) has intake valves and boxs that control the valves

01+ upper intake
1) has 4 bolts for coil pack
2) loom for plug wires

01+heads
1) has temp sensor in driver side head

sound like i ran run 99-00 intakes with 01+ heads and just cap off that spot on the lower?

or you think i ran run 99-00 heads and intakes? only issues is if the sensor in my head would work/fit in the lower intake.....

I would just stay with whatever sytle you have. If you don't have a sensor, it'll throw a code and your CEL will come on. Unless you have access to a SCT dealer that can turn the sensor(s) off. And the intake valves, I think you're talking about the IMRC's. Do they look like little throttle bodies?

well i want to keep all the senors this is why i want to run a set of 01+ heads with 99-00 intakes so that i can just cap off the extra sensor place on the intake and re use the one on the intake and the one on the head as i do now. there are only two sensors and all the coolant lines are the same, the only other difference are the IMRC valve son teh 01+ that i wont be using.

Chevy for their next generation Z06 vette. Tottally camless engine with ~500bhp

Rotary valves enjoy the benefits of an actual (spindle) bearing instead of a simple sliding surface. Except for lubrication of the bearing, rotary valves do not need the frequent lubrication which is common with piston valves. However, unlike piston valves, the surface of most rotary valves is naked brass. In an environment rich in carbon dioxide, moisture, and electrolytes (breath aerosols), the brass valves undergo constant attack. The formation of copper and zinc carbonates - as evidenced by the blue and green color - can becomes so severe that dezincification and carbonate buildup eventually cause the valves to be immovable or destroyed altogether.
