Yeah the fuel pressure should be in the 5-8 psi range. Check your fuel bowl levels.Just want to run something by you guys. I'm only getting 3psi for fuel pressure at idle. I should be around 6 or 7. I order a new fuel pump. However here is what happens I start it up runs for a bit shuts off.. Start it up again shuts off. On the third startup it runs fine I take off shuts down while driving does that maybe 2 more times also I'm not having issues with restarting it but by the 5th time it's running fine. I also may be experiencing some charging issues. What do you guys think?
It sputters tries to go but then it just shuts off and I'm coasting.Trojan Horse said:Yeah the fuel pressure should be in the 5-8 psi range. Check your fuel bowl levels.
Also, if you change out the needle and seats in the carb (or maybe it already has them?) for the higher pressure versions it may benefit you if your line size is marginal.
When it shuts off is it instant like turning off a key or does it sputter like fuel loss?
