Intake manifild
So here is the deal, my manifold gasket was leaking, I replaced them last night and somehow the thermostat housing cracked, looking on AM and found one for 189, although plastic I am on a tight budget but it says it's for a PI heads. I don't have performance improvement, just wondering if the manifold will work for me. And do I need new gaskets even though I just replaced the 15 hours ago????

PI heads come on all 99-04 GTs. You need a PI intake. I don't think you need to replace the gaskets unless they are torn if only a day old

Re: Intake manifild
You shouldn't have to get new Intake Gaskets. Be careful when reinstalling the Thermostat tube to the housing. You more than likely cracked it while tightening it. You have to go a little bit on each bolt at a time.

I am currently replacing my intake manifold also (half done in my garage). I went with the typhoon manifold because I always figure if I have to replace anything I might as well "upgrade" and those stock plastic things just erk me (plastic?? come on!) I hope all goes well (with me and you both lol)

Yea me too, I replaced one before on my 98 gt and first time is always hardest, I do want the aluminum manifold but strap with little cash, but atleast the cross over isn't plastic, take some pictures and post them, but yea just had it off two days ago, going to be a breeze
