New to the forum and need some help. My new "project", er...2004 Ford Mustang 40th anniversary V6 has some severe oxidation to the (what I believe to be Fiberglass) fake hood scoop as well as the rear spoiler. What is the best and/or safest way to remove this severe oxidation and return the paint back to its new finish? Or is it even possible to simply remove this oxidation without having to repaint that particular piece? I will post pics as soon as possible if necessary. Thanks!

I would do a small test spot. I would try one of those Mr Clean Magic Eraser sponges to remove any staining, then use a clay bar, compound paste, pre-wax cleaner, and see where that gets you. Sometimes a power tool/buffer proves effective on something like that.
