275 vs 285

I personally love how the 285s look on the staggered SVE drifts for the 2011+ mustang, however, I love the gt500 style wheels on AM, but those only come with 275s on the rear. Is there that big of a difference? The pictures on AM didn't really do any justice and was hoping you guys could provide some insight. I've checked out google quite a bit, but am not really sure.

Maybe AM can hook me up with 285s :)

I know one difference! Money. I tried to get 285/35 instead of 275/40 and it was like 50 bucks more per tire. I am sure am can hook you up with 285, they look way better.

Or you can just buy whatever tire you want from Tirerack/Discount-Tire/wherever at the diameter you want and the brand you want and be done with it. Yeah its really REALLY nice when they come mounted/balanced/ready from AM but if you want a specific tire you should not settle. And FYI a 275/40 is going to be about half an inch bigger in overall diameter than a 285/35 depending on what size rim you are talking about. As for 285 vs 275... tread width is pretty close you can tell but its not crazy.
