Rear end dog bone

Has anyone removed that damn thing? I feel like it could be removed without any issues.. Just looks like a big *** weight lol

The only possible reason for it to be on there, must be to prevent NVH of some sort.
I believe that Soccerluvr4 removed his.

On a car that's 11 years old and do we even need to car about nvh? Lol

Its there to reduce vibration. Most people who take it off experience vibration around 80mph and up. I took mine off when i did my Torque Arm. And i felt a whole ton of vibration after 80mph, shook the car violently. Got an aluminum driveshaft and it all went away and felt smoother than stock.

I already did have 4.10s at the time btw.

Well this winter when the car is away I'll be working on the suspension. So subframes, lca, k member, torque arm and so on.. But for now I should be okay to remove it then since it's gonna be put away for winter anyway

For the rear suspension do it this order:

Subframes
LCAs
Panhard Bar/Watts Link
Torque Arm

I'll have to get ahold of you when I go ordering the suspension goodies.. I'm going to go ahead and remove the dog bone tomorrow.. What all is attached to it and what will I need to remove with it?

Dog bone is off but I put the bump stop bracket back up with shorter bolts

Did you take a picture by chance what you're talking about for those too lazy to crawl under their cars and look? (That would be me today)

Most cars will never abuse the mounts hard enough to need those. 1.5 60's here with no worries about my lca mounts

Uh I wouldn't say that my 01 started doing it and I had basic bolt on's but a good suspension with drag radials. Had a guy check a noise i heard in the back and I was tearing the mounts. If you plan on taking your car to the strip a lot it will happen at some point.

No need for battle boxes when going with a Torque Arm. It eliminates the upper arms entirely.
