Disabling Motor Sound Thru Radio

I have been noticing what sounds like a Exhaust sound coming from the Sound system. Is there a way to disable it?

There is a fuse you have to pull. I'm not sure which one, but you just have to pull a fuse from the passenger side interior fuse panel

Roffles, that is what Ford is doing now because the ecoboost sounds like a lawnmower unfortunately. Its a great motor... but that sound...

Yea compared to my GT . Oh Yea there is no comparison. I don't know Ford feels the need for types of gimmicks.

Ford wants to sell cars in Europe, specifically the Mustang. Enhancing the engine sound has been used by the vehicle manufacturers there for years.

Looked and can't figure out which fuse to pull. Anyone with experience in this matter?

There was a YouTube vid I saw last year about this sound enhancement trick when it first can out. I thought the dude had to pull the radio fuse.

you may try and find it again...

Usually it's the ground wire to the stereo that causes that ... I would call the dealer and tell them about your problem.. I bet it's the ground wire for sure...GL

Thanks but it's not my ground. Believe it or not, Ford intentionally pipes the sound through the radio. Funny thing didn't notice it, until I found out about it. LOL

Strange, but not surprised... When I was in college I used to work at a car audio store and I can't tell you how many customers would come in because of that problem, but this was almost 20 years ago. Hope ya get it figured out... Good Luck to ya !

Pull fuse #27 from passenger side foot well. It is labeled "Amplifier" but is really the "Sound Symposer".

I think it might also power the radio. So, if you do it and have no radio, you will have to just re-install the fuse.
