Well it is technically different, as the car is estimating based on the parameters it has available, while a dyno is actually measuring it.

But for a gains comparison I suppose it's fairly useful.

The key is you need at least 7-8 turns on the lug nut for it to be safe. Any less and you risk losing a wheel. Typically anything over 5mm won't give you enough lug engagement
