motorcycle license?

Just wondering if anyone here has a motorcycle license? I want to get one and my friend and I are thining about that being are xmas presents to ourselves would be riding class (in texas you can take that and it passes the driving part at the DMV as well as lowers insurance, etc). How long did it take you to pick up knowing how to ride a bike? I am prolly gonna start with a 600cc or so but just wondering how long til you felt steady on it

We're in the same boat, I want my crotch rocket license too, there's just been so many other things that take up my time. The middle of winter is a good time though, you can do all the reading and properly prepare yourself. I've never driven a bike, but 600CC sounds like a good start to me.
