Is yours a manual or auto? If it's a manual..being a 5.0..I'm thinking 3.73's maybe, and around 4.10's for an auto. You'll get plenty of punch out of both of those.

4.10s... youll love them. Gas milage will only suffer a couple mpg on the highway and may actually go up in the city

i dunno about in a GT, but in my sixer ill top out around 125 or so, but i never get that fast anyway. GT's motors redline higher and all that stuff though so youll still be able to go a lot quicker than that. A chip wont fix your speedo, the chip will remove any speed limiter you have so you dont get governed... to fix your speedo id recommend the speedcal from www.dallasmustang.com its what i have and it works perfectly... wasnt too bad of an install either.

I have 373s in my 02 GT, if you are N/A than 410s might be the way to go, but if you plan on adding a power adder than get 3.55s or 3.73s for the top end, so I guess it all depends on you do you want a highway blaster or a 1/4 mile monster

we all do, but you need to give something up my buddy had a 02 GT with 410s and loved it but after installing a KB blower (9 psi) he was topping out 4th gear at around 110-112 mph going down the track, now with 3.55s he is running 12.7@(can't rememer) and has a lot of fun on the freeway. I went with 3.73 cuz they wake the car up and I still can spray and enjoy my freeway runs.

well with the blower and 410s he ran out of gear and just cruised to the end of the strip in 5th, so it was somewhere in the high 13s, he is a good driver as with 410s and exhaust he went 13.5 at lebanon valley And like I said without a power adder I would have gone 410s, to make up for luck of HP and TQ, alot of hardcore drag racers will tell you nothing less then 410s, but they drag race every week. It should be your call, this way you can't point fingers at anyone.

I currently have 410s in my auto (02' GT) which has the ProCharger SC strapped to it. Since I put the SC on at the start of the winter season I have only run a few runs and I believe I will run out of the top end.
I would recommend 373s, they are a good round gear that will wake up your launch and still give you top-end

When I had 4.10's installed I was crossing the traps in the 1/4 in 5th or I had to lift in 4th and coast through the 1/4.
With 3.73's I can cross the traps in 4th with no problem.
You just need to decide how often do you plan on going to the drag strip and if you're going to stay N/A or get a power adder.

100% agreed. I have 3:73s in my manual and it is the perfect set up. It is fine on the highway, in fact I don't have to downshift to pass cars but the mileage is still good. And of course it feels AWESOME!

are 4.10 and 3.73's the same on a 6 banger, GT and Cobra? or maybe on a cobra is every day driving a little easier with 410's than a 6banger
