Does everyone elses car make a noise when you turn the wheel? Kind of hard to describe. Like a high pitch groan.

its the power steering every stang ive ever messed with has done it... check the fluid just to be safe.

yeah, mine did that, it's annoying. Check power steering fluid, may need to flush it.
I'm sure you aren't talking about when you turn it to the stops... are you?

The fluid is fine. And it's not when it hits the stops. My friend's '03s and '02s do it too.

I believe it's just a noisy P/S pump. just about every late model I know of is loud like that. As far as I know, it's no big deal. Like said above, just make sure your fluid is ok. Do you have any other problems with the P/S system other than the noise?
But as far as I know, it's just one of those things.

It sounds more like the springs settling. But they are the old springs.

if u have the car on and jus leave it in park and turn the while not moving and it make the noise and the noise is constant then its power steering check fluid if its full then ull be fine and ur pump is just noisy

fords are infamous for power steering pumps being loud. but ive never heard the spring thing
