I wish someone made the conversion to fit the '94-'98s. They would look so awsome with my color. Esp. with the black and blue thing going on.
So for any aftermarket companies...there's a suggestion.  |

just tape off the area and paint yours, they wont fold but they will look like the 03s

They bolt on, but they don't fit. There's a lip on the '99-'04 mirrors that the '94-'98 doesn't have. I didn't seem 'em at first. |

I know where there is a set for 150 shipped....  if you wanted to take a risk and alter them.

I would still like to know for SURE if they would or would not fit.... i mean I know the difference but... why are they different on the 99 up... what is the actual reason for designing them different....

The door is the difference. On the '94-'98 the door round up to the point where it meets with the mirror. The '99-'04 is square. It has everything to do with the body style.
'03 Cobra Mirror
Notice the lip of the mirror at the bottom where it meets the door.
'98 Mustang Mirror
Notice how there is no lip. |

the part that meets the door is metal instead of plastic... which means it can be fabricated to work alot easier  just an FYI

Well, I've moved past them now. Something else that it would be sweet to make a conversion for is the '99-'04 Saleen side scoop for the '94-'98. |
