you guys seriously need to learn your terminoligy.
streetracing=300 civics/integras/ricers on a long road in some industrial district racing.
what you guys are saying is "streetracing" is in fact NOT. racing from a stoplight or on the freeway is no new thing, my grandpa did it, my dad did it and i do it. smoking the crap outta the guy next to you has been around since man has been around, it is in our nature to win and be better than the other guy. it will be around until the end of the automobile and personal transportation.
i love how the media took the term "streetracers" and blew it out of proportion. nowadays everyone with anything on their car "must" be streetracers. hell the other day, another neon pulled next to my mom when we were on our way to wal mart, some ricer with a wing and fart tip. my moms neon has a srt4 front end, spoiler and rims, and rear bumper(but not a srt4, we got it with no front so i got to play with it) and this guy mustve thought she had something. i got her to take him and she won, so i guess she is a streetracer now .
oh and im gonna have to call BS on beating a c5. especially from a roll. even crappy base corvettes still run low 13's in the 1/4, and with youre mod list, youre not even close. sorry bud. youre stangs quick but it aint that fast.

i'm talking about racing from lights and on the highway, and i think this is more dangerous then the "industrial district racing" you speak of. both are in an uncontrolled enviroment with a lot of variables that can be the cause of death or serious injury.
i'm not saying that the track is 100% safe, but it's a hundred times safer then racing on a public road where a car can pull in front of you or a blow out can send you into a pedestrian. 3 teens were killed here in san antonio on friday night while racing on the street.

Street racing is dangerous.. Track racing is less dangerous..
Some people will race on the street regardless of what other people think on here. I think it's best everybody just shut up, we all know where people stand. So when someone makes a topic that says "I beat a ______!" let's stay on to the topic as to how the race went rather than making the topic turn into what it always turns into.
Or.. whatever, I don't care what other people think about my racing habit. Let me figure it out when it happens, to regret it or glorify it..

Unless the driver was a tard, I have never seen a GT without serious engine mods or a power adder beat a modern Corvette.
But if you got up on one with a goofy driver who knows!!!!

No way he beat a c5. They are fast, especially on the highway. They are about 500-600 lbs lighter than your car & way more aerodynamic. I beat a bone stock one @ the track lauching @ 4,000 with my sticky tires. Then he passed me right after the finish line. If he had the same tires as me & knew how to launch he would of beat me. Sucks, I love racing vettes. I wanted to race him again but all the ricers showed up & it was my last run.

Basically some chick was giving him road head & he couldn't shift, Either that, or he had the e-brake on.

I can beat a C5 with the right(or wrong however you look at it) person driving it
On paper there is no way you could bet a c5 with a = driver and on a drag strip

Sure it is!!!!!! and the My dad has crap is sort of juvenile. But then again you are probably a kid anyway so we understand your over the top "I BEAT A C5 STORY". Not that most dont believe it did not happen just in the real world a GT will not beat a C5 Vette.
