They look good, I would have liked some tires that were more sticky on my new wheels.. but I would have to keep them on the car all the time and DD'ing with sticky tires is horrible.

I need some dd type of tires now. Dunno what i want yet, i want a stickier street tire... I'll have to look around.
If it was sunny here 100% of the time i would've ordered a second set for normal street driving.
I got the rims, wheels, mount/balance and stems some where in the range of 700-800.

Looks to me like someone is going auto-xing...
That being said, why did you pick the Hankook R-compound over the Kumho V710 and the Hoosier A6? The Hoosier A6 is by far the fastest of the "good" auto-x R-comps but they cost way more than any of the others too...If I am not mistaken, the V710s are in the same price range as the Hankooks, but the V710s will be much faster...
I have run both Kumho V710's and Hoosier A6's in 275/40/17's...

Cause they were cheap and used cant afford 300 a tire for new right now. but next year when i hit national tours i will be buying new v710's for sure. v710's have been my weapon of choice for all my other cars so ill be going back to them when the time is right

cause they were 85 bucks each for new tires... had to find the rims though, they only came in that size, i didn't pick the size, if i did, they woulda gone on 17's so i could use a wider rim and tire.
i do need some new street tires here pretty quick if you guys have suggestions and opinions. (something that might also double as a wet autox tire as slicks aren't supposed to do well)
edit: right now i'm just trying to keep up with the new stangs in my region, i fell in the middle of them on the first event and they all use street tires, i'm hoping this gives me a nice edge since the rear end won't stay behind the car...

f stock (why i went with stock 16's instead of jsut finding something else)
on a side note, if you know of some stuff i can do to the car while still remaining in that class i wouldn't mind hearing them
i'm thinking about doing some mods after the season, not nessarly for autox, just for fun and ill just have to deal with the class change.

mods to do for stock class would be koni yellow shocks and a bigger front sway bar. That's about all you can do in stock class. Those mods would really help you out.

dont ask me why but scca allows shock and front sway bar upgrades in stock class, so i suggest you take full advantage of their stupidity.

I am very happy with Sumitomo's on my DD. I drive Hyundau Tiburon daily. They grip the road very well and were very inexpensive. Dunno how people feel about Sumi's for domestics lol.

I have them on the GT, but mainly because that's about the only tire they offered. Now that my GT is preparing to not be my only car, I may invest in some better tires.

Same here. The sumi's were the only tires available in 315/35/17 when I bought the rims. They do the trick for now, but once they wear out, I'll look into some BFG's or Eagle F1's.
