UPS = Universal Power Supply
basically a battery backup... gives you enough time to shut everything down properly.
Or, depending on circumstances, run without power. I've got mine set up to shut down (properly) the entire network. It saves everything I'm working on and shuts it down automatically.

stuff like this doesent happen often the power was only gone for like half an hour, and this the only time it has happened around here in a couple of years |

Man I can remember a couple years back it was like a few days after xmas. Literally went to sleep to tornado warnings and then woke up to snow
