well, you could build a regular website with just a text editor, but that would require a lot of work.
I build my sites with a lot of media and flash so what it works best for me is dreamweaver.
There are other programs like FrontPage but ican't comment on it because dreamweaver does everything i need.
Well after you desing your website you should look for some web hoster to upload your site unless you are planing to host your own page, but that's a lot of trouble.
Doing a basic web site is not that hard, but if you want it to look good and have lots of media, prepare to spend some good hours on reading.

hmm well we are working on allowing you to upload video and pictures to our garage area.
As far as creating a web page....
google is your friend
You don't just learn it over night it takes alot of learning the code etc
www.htmlgoodies.com is a start
then you need a web server to host the site....
as far as getting video onto your computer it depends on the camera
You probably need a video/audio capture card if your video camera isnt usb

Thanks Brent, if this one turns out good, i'll model all the mustang's generations.
And well, the websites i have done are on the average i think.
I stoped doing it, because now clients are expecting much more work for much less money, there are kids doing websites almost for free now, and i cant's afford wasting my time for a couple dollars.
It used to be a good side job, but now it's way over done .
By the way, this is the must active forum i''v ever seen, you get answers and replies in less than a minute.
wow

We try
I can imagine it not being easy to have a good career doing websites alone... I am going to college for a computer science degree and this summber will be taking web development classes.
What I really need to learn is photoshop and image editing. It would be nice to be able to have more of my own work put into my site from myself. If I had could use photoshop and do the images for this site I know I could help Smurfin out a ton as far as that goes. I just can't seem to grasp it and make it do what I want it to... frustrating
For me to learn stuff like that I need someone with me taking me step by step over everything...
