It's alright
If your not into gaming that much it would be a good cheap card to pick up.
The more memory doesnt always = better
The card I am ordering is a nvidia 6800 128MB card
The different maker is it has 12 pipelines, 256-bit memory, faster core and memory speeds and it can be overclocked and you can unlock the 4 locked pipelines if there is no artifacts to = 16 total pieplines
Also you got to look at the different things it supports. ATI is falling behind in my opinion to nvidia

make sure your cpu can handle it... i had a 1.0 athlon and i slaped a 9600xt athlon card on it and it SLLLOOOOWWWWED it down horribly... if the sytem can take it get a better card, the 9700 pros are rather cheap now and they are nice cards.

There are better cards out there for the same price as that 9550

Brent can you do me a big favor I've been looking at video cards for a while and all I do is gaming but I only want to spend from 100 to 120 dollars on one. If you could go to www.pricewatch.com for me and look real quick and let me know what you think I would very much appreciate it.
I'm running a
AMD Athlon 1.8 gig
30 gig HD
Cable internet
512 ddr ram
64mb geforce4 mx400 which usually has to be run on lowest settings
