If it wasn't for my job, I would already live in vegas. I am never ever going to be able to buy a house in Cali. (unless somewhere in the desert where there is no chicks) My dad gave me a badass job offer, he is a saftey engineer & can get me a job in Vegas as steel framer. If it wasn't for my fat job now I would already be gone. I have been saving for a house but I will never afford to get one in Cali unless my parents pass away & hand me their's. (pretty pathedic to think like that huh?) It's the truth it is a rip. Avg house in My town is $560,000. Good deal huh  Plus in Cali i can't have long tube headers, a turbo, cams, & whatever else. Alright I am done feeling sorry for myself now. lol

about $40,000 a year @ 25years old. The thing that sux is I am fifth generation born in Cali. My kids will be 6th. I don't want to break it. But our generation is screwed in Cali.

You have to make $90,000 a year and put down $90,000 to be able to afford the avg house in my town & to be able to live comfortably.

That's cool then. We almost need another earthquake for the houses to drop. Most people in Cali don't even own their house in their lifetime.

yea lol a one room shack there rent wise is probably 8x what it is here....lol here you can rent a NICE place for 400 a month.

well duh dude, look where thousand oaks is, youre basically just paying to live in so cal.
up here in the valley a 1bdrm apartment is 570ish. still alot compared to 400 my freinds ex is paying in florida for a 2 bedroom. but oh well thats the curse of cali.
and dude i so want to live in vegas too. ever since i went there for vacation it felt like i was home. and while i was there i checked out some new houses, 140-180k for a 1600sqft brand new house, complete with pool, central heating and air, everything that makes for a 300k house in cali. and that is why vegas is growing so insanely fast. even this one bus driver i had a chat with for a good 2 hours said he cant believe how much the city has spread in just the past year, housing is definately on the boom there.
plus 0% sales tax is cool. and anywhere in vegas youre only 10 minutes from the strip. how badass is that.

sounds like a good investment, you could probably sell a house for a good bit more than you paid in a couple years.

exactly, with such a big housing boom that more than likely has just started, you could do just that. or you could buy 2 vegas houses for the price of 1 cali house, wait a few months, turn around and sell the extra house for prolly 50k more than what you got it from, then get a corvette and cruise the strip. sounds like a plan to me.

Oh yeah by the way a new 2 bedroom apartment here in Davis runs 1600. a month. The luxurys about it are gated community, fireplace, and vaulted ceilings. |

I want to move sooo bad but there is still a couple chicks I have been tryin to get on first. lol lol Plus I don't want to leave my job but they might not be around for five years. I like eclipse's idea. It is a good investment. I could start @ like $17 an hour. I will miss Cali though & vegas isn't hot or anything considering I will be working outside. lol

I used to party in Davis, and as far as thousand oaks go, i live about 1.5 miles from there, in Simi. God damn right Cali sucks, my rent is going through the roof And the worst part about Cali is staring through the window at some good looking long tube headers knowing that my car will never get the pleasure to wear em.
