I watched that last night. It was okay...a bit unbelieveable for my taste. A virus that reanimates dead people? If they're dead and reanimated why does shooting them in the head kill them again? The T-Virus cures people that can't walk, turns people into super-human weapons, kills people and turns them into zombies? Jeez. Their nuclear detonation at the end wasn't realistic, either--it's supposed to be light, heat, blast...in that order. Only 5 kilotons? The Hiroshima bomb was about 15 kilotons. If they were really going to wipe out the whole city, it would take more than that. Maybe I'm just doing too much nit-picking.

You need to watch the first movie.
and it's science FICTION
The brain of a "zombie" in the movie is still active on a very basic level and coordinates the activites of the rest of the body, so severe brain trauma stops this coordination.

I saw the first one, but not the second. I'm a big Resident Evil fan, so for those who are like me, should I just buy the second one?

I hate all those games, cuz I think at least 25% of the game time is wasted on those stupid ass door opening cuts and on the first ones on the stupid stair scene cuts.

Just keep in mind that's not the game. It's based on the game. If you can remember that you''ll enjoy it. If you really pay attention you'll notice the important stuff, like the way Jill walks and how close they got the Nemisis to look. I liked it.
The T-Virus should work like this. Or it did in one of the books I read, Resident Evil: Caliban Cove by S.D. Perry. Within a few hours the virus reached the brain and begins to break the cells down. Within 30 days the 'person' will have fallen apart. But, you can keep it in check. Like the little girl. And assuming you could inject the zombies with the right enzymes, they wouldn't continue to break down. Just like Matt , the Nemisis. Alice, I can't explain. Apparantly she bonded with it.
And Raccoon City wasn't that big.
