What up? I was thinkin about getting a steeda triax shifter & aluminum driveshaft. But they cannot be switched over to another tranny. I was wondering if I should wait till I get another tranny like the 3660 or whatever 01.5-04 year was or is the T45 strong enough for a blower. With a strong clutch of coarse. Thanks for the info....

I have an 01GT w/ frpp 3:73's, sportline springs, wms cold-air w/95mm mass-air, (ceramic) BBK equal length headers (ceramic) mac 70mm t. body, trickflow intake plenium, mac pro-chamber, flowmaster catback, Nitto drags, NX N20 150hp jets, & some good predator tuning! Best E.T. 11.79 @ 118.4mph

they will hold up about like a t-5, my friend has 350 though his t-5 and it has 130k lol its all in how you take care of your stuff.. i could break your tranny with 150rwhp as fast as i could with 400 depending on how i took care of it, once you start to go over 375rwtq you start to get problems quicker.... but if you take care they will last.

Thanks for the info. btw are you talking about the 3550? I think the 3660 has the same driveshaft & shifter as the 3550.

aren those two trannys designed for a 5.0? i was thinking the 3650 was the HD version of the T-45

1-2 syncho tends to go bad quickly in a t-45.

dont get it rebuilt... what ever you do just buy a new one.. in the end its cheaper almost alwasys.

I know I already get an occasional grind from first to second. i just wish if I bought the steeda tri ax & driveshaft I could convert it over to a 3660 or 3550.
