Tell me about this build up, heads, intake, cam, etc.. I would go with a 331 stroker if I were you!

im on a very tight budget, and since my car is a 3.8 car, im doing a basic 5.0 rebuild for the time being, its going to be a stock bottom end, trick flow #1 cam, some home ported E7TE's with trick flow springs, locks, reatainers and seals, some long tube headers, not sure what ill do about an intake manifold yet
rest is basic bolt ons, under drive pulleys, cold air, throttle body, etc, itll be backed by a T5 and the stock 7.5 untill it blows up, or untill i find an 87-88 TC rear

I had a five oh before my modular. Get the edelbrock performer rpm heads. They are the best! Plus you will shave 50 lbs from the front. You can find them on ebay for like $500-$600

just right now, thats 500-600 more than i have, im using stuff thats already sitting, so its not coming out of my pocket, and since im eliminated the BS under the hood, like smog, a/c, egr etc, it wont be hard to swap and upgrade things in the future, there will be plenty of room
the more important thing will be getting it in the car and running, putting engines where they dont belong never goes smoothly

Ya well as long as you have a strong block that is a start, so you can build it up later, without taking the motor out.
