good audio setup for expansion?

i've looked into several ideas for an audio setup and for now i just want 1 sub, but be able to put in a second with re-wiring a new amp. so if i were to install this:

12" Rockford Fosgate Punch 2
@ 50-200w RMS & 400w peak

What amp should i get for this so i don't have to buy another when i get a second sub?

also, i have the stock head unit with single cd player. do i need an aftermarket one to wire it all in?

Is the sub dual or single voice and how many ohms

4-ohm single voice i believe.

Dont get single voice coil

Get Dual 2ohm subs for best wiring options

That way you can buy a amp at 200x1 @ 4ohms and 400x1 @ 2ohms and power that one sub then when you add another sub you can wire it to 2ohm

ah ok. i'll look into that. next question:

when i re-wire for 2 subs, do i rewire at the amp only or do i have to go back through the car and etc?

you will have only one set of RCA's comming back wiht a power wire and what not, the amp will have to be altered for mroe than one sub but thats all you will have to alter.

this is a mono-amp right? is there an advantage to getting a 2 or multichannel?

Mono is for subs. You don't bridge 'em.
