cobra owner

I work as a supervisor in a coffee shop. My friend is the owner. He has an s2000 that he is seriously considering supercharging, and I have my Evo. A couple weeks ago this guy with a new 03/04 cobra comes in and the owner was there and not me. The owner says "nice car" and the cobra driver is all like "yeah, i know. it's the best car in the world. I hate all 4cyl cars and all these damn civics try to race me and what not." The owner was driving his other car that day (old maxima) and was like. Not all 4cyls are bad. I have an s2000 that a supercharger is about to go on, and the supervisor here drives and Evo, and before my S, I had a 10sec civic (which is true).

Now whenever that cobra driver comes in, he likes stares either me or the owner down. Gets so freaking annoying. It's quite nice cause he hasnt said anything else, but when you drive a bone stock (he told us) 03 cobra, don't think you're God on wheels.

When mine was stock I would talk shit until someone beat me. When I lost, I gave props and added that to my motivation to mod. So many car comparision are made through words and not on the road. Until I lose, I can beat car X. Take viper for example. Logic says you can't beat one in a stock cobra. I beat one to the line on the strip...twice. He couldn't drive to save his life.

Now, when the cobra owner acts like a jackass and talks about being the greatest, well, that is just another example of someone that should have their cobra license revoked.

That Cobra owner sounds like a real jackass. But, I have to ask....
What's up with all the talk about S2000's lately? A couple of the guys on my local board have them and they talk about them all the time like the are just the absolute shit. I mean, I've checked them out online and everything and they are fairly nice looking cars, but I don't really see what the big deal is. These guys treat them like they are the holy grail of 4 cyl cars or something. It's a lot of bragging for a 13.5-14 second car if you ask me.

u can take them off the line in a v6 stang. they have to wait until they are well up in the rpm range to get any power, but once they are there they tend to move.

BTW those S2000s are kinda dope they arent ment to be straight line by any means they are for the twisties thats where the S2K prevails

Another thing theres two local guys who own an 03 and they always tell who there racing their bonestock but in actuality they have things that arent noticeable by eye (pulley etc)

s2k's are pretty badass, a lightly modded s2k could make 300-320hp easily, and lightness of them from a roll vs a stock cobra would be a very nifty race.

but modded cobra vs supercharged s2k, i put my money on the cobra. then again, modded evo vs modded cobra, i put the money on the evo if the driver can drive worth a dam.

its funny to see how ignorant people think that just cause it has a V8 its gods gift to the world. like every f-body guy ive run into, or the kid with the nitrous fed 98 cobra that got a carlength on me when i was stock thinking he was hot shit, i was like "dude thats weak for a nitrous fed cobra, only pulling a car on a stock eclipse". some peoples kids

I dont think modded cars should be compared to stock cars. I have a stock 99 GT and my friend always talks about putting a new motor, turbo, and suspension in his car to beat mine. I always laugh because he talks about putting like ~7 grand into his car to beat mine stock. IMO 2003 Cobra < Evo and S2000 stock and modded.
Evo is my second fav. car tho. Dont get me wrong. You are a very lucky man Monkey!

i was told there was very little in the way of hp coming out of that engine just because they flow so well off the lot? is that wrong? i know very little about these cars

I hate people that act like they are better just because they have a bigger engine. Im not sure about your mods, but i doubt your car would have a problem with his.
