Would anyone recomend performance spark plugs for a nearly stock 2003 v6 stang? If yes, which are the best? |

performance spark plugs wont give you any real gains, just go with the cheaper ones.. just get autolight copper or the original motorcraft sparkplugs.

I agree, everyone I talked to said this was the best option! I am going with Motorcraft AWSF-22C plugs. |

Motorcraft plugs will supposily allow for more timing just so you know, but my autolites are holding on just as fine.

whatever you do dont use like bosch platnum 2 or 4 or any of those, go with autolight, i had bosch plat 4s in my mustang for about a week and it drove like garbage, switched to autolight platnums and it runs nice and smooth again

What's the numbers on the autolites? I need to buy new sparkplugs, starting to get a minor miss. I have 53000 on it...and it's all hard miles so i'm prolly overdue for them anyway

just go with oem ford plugs the performance ones are BS on a stock or anywhere near stock car.

I've lost some of the little pep my car has so I'm gonna change the plugs and clean my MAF and see if that will fix it all lol. I need to go ahead and get a chip..just too cheap

Just stay with the OEM. Your not making enough power or using any forced induction, yet, for it to matter anyway, |

autolitesor any stock and member you only throw one spark plat 4s and 2 s there all bs. even if you upgrade your ignition you just gap the plugs more for a longer spark. |

Not sure how many miles are on my plugs, but it shows no signs of needing any, it had 27.4K when I got it, about 45K now, still going great! Stock Motorcraft Platinums are fine, Copper might be better, Autolite probably if you were going to supercharge or run Nitrous.

you guys really dont liek bosch. i switched mine to the +4s and i noticed a differnece over stock i also changed my wires to. i dont think bosch are bad at all i mustve got a good set |

Bosch plugs are probably fine in German cars, that is what they designed for, not for American Fords. I wouldn't recommend Japanese plugs in an American car either, lol. 
As a rule in our American built cars, GM runs best with Delco, some say Autolite does quite well in some of the GM high performance engines, lol. Chrysler does best with Champion Plugs, and Ford with Autolite or Motorcraft plugs.

Actually bosch makes some really good OEM part for cars however the same quality does not go into their aftermarket stuff with most of it being made in china and by sub contractors so their overall quality is not as it once was. There are list of people who have complained about the quailty of there plugs and all you have to do is search the forum to find that out. Just dont expect many experienced Ford or Mustang people suggest using them. There is so many other companies making better products, but if you are satisified that is cool.

Stock platnuim plug are good upto 100K. Now that means they can go longer or not even close to 100K. This all depends on how hard you drive your car and everything. Coppers are good for about 20K, and the same rules apply.
