what are some good, yet not too expensive, mods that i can do to it?
btw...does anyone know someone in the DFW area that can install my 70 glass in the 69, thanks!

for a 351c, cheap mods are hard to come by, do you have anything done in relation to ignition?

are there any roller rockers available for the 351C?
the only real "cheap" mods you can do without getting too involved is:
MSD ignition box and coil
headers
exhaust
intake manifold
carb
roller rockers
big air cleaner
a good tune
and you already have most of that listed, from there on, its more expensive and involved stuff

The best of all mods for a 2v cleveland is a set of cleveland 4V heads, but they are hard to come by I imagine and probably go pretty high if you can find them. But then that Edelbrock wouldn't fit anymore either, the 4v edelbrock for the 2v clevland won't fit the 4v heads. If you get lucky and find some 4v heads you can afford, then go crazy and have those badboys ported out and polished up as nicely as you can afford to, and watch the difference in how well that Cleveland will run, also get a 3 or 5 angle valve job while you are at it.

change the cam they're have been a few advancements in cam design since the late 60's, they're may even be a solid roller conversion that you can get with the cam ( and yeah this is a cheap mod, just alot of labor) if so then you can get even wilder with ramp rates and the such... also i believe they're are a few ways to change to electronic ignition, this will pick you up some gas mileage, an MSD varible ignition system will help you pick up a little mileage and add power, noticible power, but thats not really my idea of cheap
I grew up building a 408 windsor, good times good times. 2v cleavelands are low velocity high flow heads, if you plan on keeping this car when you do get money to work on it, a stroker kit (yeah they have them for cleaveland now) would really make a night and day difference, more cubes, less rpm.

yeah, i saw the other day that there are some 408 stroker kits available. Heck back when i started working on it a few years ago, there was hardly anything out unless it was at an outrageous amount of $$$

Without a cam change, keep the 600 Holley. Even with many cams the
600 is better, a 750 DP flows more than a 750 vacuum Secondary, which
is better matched for a 351. (vacuum sec) The 600 is good up to 400 BHP
so stick with that.
I can spec you a cam and pick a close aftermarket one.
Get a modern cam with fast ramps and that thing WILL
need the 750 DP! Mild Head porting is a good idea, and
more CR always helps.
They make lots of RR's for that, you could get 1.8's and
get more valve lift with the stock cam. I can make you a
conical valvespring conversion, but that would need a cam
change to make full use of it.
Roller Cams ROCK! Do that if at all possible. But it is not "cheap"

I beg to differ, the 4V heads are way huge for an engine OVER 400 cubes.
A good compromise IMO is 4V intake valves in the 2V heads. It helps the
short turn (if you cut the bowls right) and the exhaust valve is already a
1.65" which is huge, but the 4V has a 1.71" Exh!
Intakes:
2V = 2.04"
4V = 2.19"
Exhausts:
2V = 1.65"
4V = 1.71"
Got a guy here in town that makes econo-strokers,
has made Clevelands up to jsut under 400" with
easy to find parts, and has went well over 400"
with higher dollar parts. He is the stroker king,
but has a long waiting list. He made perhaps the
world's first 408 W, 2 years before John Vermeersch
(SuperFord's FACTORY HOTLINE columnist) said you
could not do it
He put 2V heads on that 408W, it was very torquey!

I'd imagine so, what components made up this 408? possibly a certain dodge crank?
