why not GMC that crap needs to go... its the same thing they have elsewhere rebadged... at least with pontiac some of it is only pontiac

I think Pontiac messed up with the G names. It was dumb IMO. The G3 and G5 were pretty bad ideas in the first place too. |

that's exactly what I've been saying for a few years.
the only thing I can think of is they tried to be like BMW with the 3,5,7 series.
that's one of the things I love about the G8. It looks like a BMW to me.

well the Saturn Sky is better looking anyway. But I've driven those cars and it's like driving a big go cart. Lots of fun.

GM killed them off along with saturn and will focus on their 4 "core" brands. i believe they are trying to sell them off but so far no buyers.

the point of the goverment bailouts is to temporarily loan failing companies money so they can reposition themselves and have more time to sell off bad assets that are causing them to lose billions of dollars in the first place. so yes, in a way, the government wanted them to make more cuts - but in reality its because they needed to make cuts because they are a failing company to begin with. its either make cuts or file chapter 11.

They were never supposed to come out with one. Not sure what source you got that from. If you're talking about that horrendous design by some group of guys that paste crap on a camaro and call it a T/A, then you've got horrible taste.
Also, GMC costs little to nothing to make, and believe it or not there are people who would "only" buy a GMC, and not a Chevy.
It's sorta like Acura and Honda, for years they just rebadge their cars. When its a US Company re-badging people bitch, but if its a japanese or euro company they don't care.
Either way, I wish Buick was the one on the Chopping block but oh well.
Heres to hoping they go under and some how come out of it without unions. Hopefully Ford doesn't go down the same path a few years from now, but I wouldn't count on it.
