Well, hopefully the engine choice includes some sort of goody... say, perhaps, a blower on a 5.4 pushing 320 HP...? maybe more if they use a HD 3V design.. or maybe the 4V design like the cobra R?

They need to drop a 6.8 V10, set it up for power, twin turbo the biotch, put a 6 speed behind it, make the truck a standard cab, lower it on the ground for aerodynamics, lose the rims, and then I'd look at driving one lol

If they kept up with the last HD it should be supercharged but im not sure.

The current 5.4 in the f150 already has 300hp. So with a s/c it should be around 380-390hp

There better be if they are making gay ass harley f150's. They will sell more lighnings than gay harleys. Hey let's put some harley logos on a truck & we will sell it for $10,000.

I dont see how your thinking they are gay. The last HD truck that came out had custom interior, 20in wheels and came with a supercharger with a custom paint job. Tell me how thats gay? not to mention you could get it in ext cab and crew cab. I think you need to get your facts strait

I just look at them as the neww ss trucks they are a rip. Except I would rather have the ford's engine. Are the new ones even DOHC? They are prolly chargin more for the new ones compared to the old. I just think they should have options like more sporty (reg cab). It just kills me if they a extra/crew cab one & not a lighting one. If they they make the 5.4 DOHC. That lightning will be a low 13' second truck, for what about $35,000. Not bad, but if you like the other more expensive crewcab version that's fine too.

I believe the current lightnings are 13 second trucks already. The initial plans for the new L that was canceled would have put it into the 12s easily. It was going to be a SC'ed 5.4L...the same setup as the Ford GT...and the new cobra's. In fact, the thought was to have the 2006 L be the test mule for the engine setup going into the 07 cobras. But, since there will be no new L until further notice, the only option ford truck fans have for a performance truck will be the HD F150. While the previous versions of the HD really stood out from the rest, this version looks very plain to me. It gives the impression of just pin stripes and wheels. If this is their offering, I think they will sell more used HDs than new ones.

That's the problem. It looks "OK". It isn't something that makes you need a towel afterwards. The basic F150 looks "OK". Now, the lightning, that is beyond OK. The Cobra, that is beyond OK. The HD from previous years, had an edge to it that made it look special and therefore made it look more than OK. The other ones looked mean. This one looks like the same F150 you pass on the street, only with pin stripes and badging. I'm not saying it is a bad truck, but, I dont think it has enough to it to make someone cream and ignore the over priced sticker. But, that is just my .02.

i think they just threw some crap on it and assumed the HD fans would buy it regardless. Thats ford they start out right then find ways to make it cheaper and screw it up.
