Fantasy Football 2009

I just renewed our fantasy football account I'm going to go through and set it up and start recruiting those that want to play this year. We need at minimum 12 people to play. I figure we have the following coming back this year:

1) Brent
2) PureVenom
3) MarkuzLS1
4) n8r
5) Ian
6) Rocket 442

Who else is interested in playing? Cost will be 12$ per person * 3% if you pay via paypal.

If the majority want to do a pot for the winner we can do that. Just determine how much you want to throw into the pot each and the winner gets that.

Once we get all 12 spots filled we can start thinking about a draft date.

I guess I'm just not up on fantasy football and how cool it can be to select individual defensive players and such since last year was my first attempt at FF.

On a side note, are we doing the SEC football pool again this year? I'm currently converting the project over to .NET 2008 and the DB to 2005 and also adding in the ability to filter by season and such so it can handle multiple seasons.

Anyhow...we doing this one again too? If so, does anyone have the full schedule yet?

LSU wins the west outright only looses to Georgia (only because its an early season game and we won't be well put together) and Florida in the East and looses to FLA in the SEC Championship, arrives at the Cotton Bowl 10-3. Florida looses a SEC game on a bad luck whim. Georgia looses to Fla. Florida takes the NC win against W. Virginia (lite schedule) both teams with 1 loss and Georgia takes the Sugar Bowl.

Yea that about wraps it up... you can send the $$ my way already.


P.S. If anybody thinks Florida's defense won't be #1 this year keep dreaming... they have all 11 starters returning

It happens. I'll take a 12-2 year with an SEC championship visit every year. Only one team wins the NC each year and I'm sure it wasn't LSU last year

So we had a bad run. Give me a break. LSU has had their share of trouble over the years. There is a reason it doesn't say Florida vs LSU in the SEC champ game last year. That's because LSU couldn't cut it to get there.

I like how you stopped at 2000 though. Who was the 1999 SEC champ?

You are insane if you think Alabama doesn't have a stout team going into this year. I never said LSU sucks but I see you have tried to hint at it.

Although I know who was the 1999 champ, I stopped with the beginning of the decade.

I'm an Alabama fan and then an SEC fan. It's fine to talk a little trash to each other but in the end we have all had our ups and downs over the years. Alabama fans are just happy the last 9 years are gone and we have something to look forward too.

There is no paycheck that is going to take Saban away from Alabama. He is here for the long haul.

If Saban came back I wouldn't care, if he doesn't, I don't care. We are now on a level of recruiting and prestige that good players and coaches will continue. I don't see him coming either though Brent.

BTW Chavis will def. give the defense a good boost this year.

I wasn't saying coming back here....I'm just talking about the next big job he gets offered. He isn't going to stay in bama like people are thinking....he'll move on to a bigger payday.
