I just got it... I love it, and I just stuck the antenna on my rear deck inside the car so i didnt have to mount anything on the roof. Its a breeze to install and get going, and it's gonna be so nice to have on my drives from iowa to kansas. :woot:

Zim, you have an Alpine right? Did it have the XM reciever built in? Did it work good, 'cause mine has XM built into it. |

You have to get an XM reciever...it's about 100 bucks with an antenna I believe and you just hook that up to your headunit.

if i had the extra $$ + the extra $10 a month, I would def have it. CDs do me fine, but sometimes I want to listen to the radio and most of the stations round here don't cut it

as brent said, my head unit is a pioneer that was XM ready. I had to buy the XM radio receiver which was 50 bucks and included the antenna... then since i had a pioneer i had to buy a pioneer box that allowed me to just use my head unit as the display module instead of doing an FM modulator. Quality is great, i only pay 6.99 a month for it cuz i just added the radio to my parents account and all together costed me about 100 bucks to get it goin. Good deal IMO
