most likely gonna hurt your power because its hooking up through your electrical as aposed to belt driven

the "kompressors" on mercedes are electric-driven superchargers like that. but i am stilling calling BS on that, if its too good to be true - it probably is.

Belt driven stuff kills power hence the reason there are things like underdrive pulleys so the engine doesn't have to spin things as fast.
As for that thing...the odds ot any HP gain are probably slim. It doesn't look like it is compressing anything which is where the power gains are from. It looks like it would just cause a more turbulant air flow, specially with that 90 degree bend and that would just kill power and give your MAF a headache trying to keep track of the air flow.
But, as can be seen there are suckers out there. lol

It's a bilge blower and is rated for about 300 cfm. You think that's enough to build any boost?
Don't forget that any power drawn by that blower will have to be generated by the alternator. The more energy conversions done (mechanical to electrical to mechanical) the more the loss of efficientcy.
In other words if an electric blower generates 50 hp out the engine it'll consume at the least 50 hp to generate the electricity to power the blower. The only way this works out is if you generate the boost for short periods and pay back the electrical cost over a larger time span. So the battery has to act as a energy sump, storing up the energy needed to run the blower. Then a computer has to decide when to turn on the blower and for how long.
This Ebay system isn;t even close to being useful, it runs all the time which mens the alternator is drawing on the engine's output to generate the power needed to run it. I suppose one could hook up a WOT switch so that it only comes on at WOT, which would mitigate it. However at WOT the engine is gonna demand more air than this blower can provide, so it becomes a restriction in the intake.
To sum up, BS.
Steve

hah thats more CFM than my stock T25 turbo produced then, it only did 225cfm@15psi.
but its true that thing is a complete piece of shit and a waste of money. it will produce 0 power gains, and will most likely just be a obstruction to youre intake flow.
but there are prolly some stupid people thinking "150 bucks for 40hp? ill take 3".

225cfm at 15 psi is substantially more air flow than 300 cfm at zero psi. Bilge blowers aren't designed to work against any output pressure. I doubt this thing could build 15 psi at any flow.

You are exactly right not to mention a bilge blower is designed to be on for only enough time to clear explosive vapors out of the engine room or bay on a inboard boat. The fact is I highly doubt it would last more than a few days to a week in a engine bay before it would be squeeling like a pig from the bearings and plastic starting to meltdo to the heatand being run for extended periods.
TOTAL POS !!!!!!
