Bought a couple goodies for the EVO today. Picked up some new camshafts, ARP headstuds, cam gears (not in the picture, had to order online) and then some new Denso Iridium spark plugs (in my car, not pic). This should help be able to raise my redline to over 7500rpms, add ~30whp, and stop pulling timing cause the spark plugs are one heat range colder.
Getting them all put in here soon and dynotuned on Feb 5th. I cant wait!!!

I'm sure Texas has one considering you have to have your car's emissions and etc checked every x number of years.

Yeah texas has a few, but remember we're SUPPOSED to have the emissions checked every year(as part of inspection) but you dont really need to. Anyone can just go to a friendly place and slip 'em a extra couple of bucks and get it

dude ditch those densos. you should use no less than the best, opt for NGK BPR7ES, i had nothing but trouble with erratic idle surge and hesitation till ti went with the real deal. we have the same engine, go with the ngk's.
how much boost do you have the evo at? i think youre pulling timing might be due to a lack of fuel. do you have any fuel mods? i think youre stock injectors are what, 560's? if youre running anything over 20psi youre gonna need bigger. im not so into evos, but pretty much its the same as us dsm's just ahead in tech a few years.
arp head studs are a must for over 20psi. though cams and gears seem a bit preemptive to me, id wait till i had a bigger turbo and a built motor first before i got cams. maybe im just used to people making 500hp on an untouched motor.

I am at right around 280whp right now on a Mustang Dyno (reads lower than dynojet). I should be over 320whp or so on the Mustang Dyno when I am re-tuned.
there are two within an hour of me
People have had good results with the evo and denso's. Plus it's what my local store suggests. By the way, the owner is nationally known for awd cars and drives a 500+whp evo with densos.
20.5psi right now. I have a fuel pump. It's pulling timing due to a bad tune I had a while ago. the stock 550cc injectors are good for a while. the basic bolt ons for my car are intake, exhaust, fuel pump, boost controller, cams, tune. cams are considered a bolt-on for our car because of the cheap price making 30whp. They have cams that are perfect for the stock turbo. Don't worry, I know what i'm doing.
