if i were to do everything the stage 1 v6 says in the sticky:
- true duals
- 3.73 & tlok
- cold air intake
- underdrive pulleys
what kind of hp gain am i looking at before a tune?
right now i'm making about 155rwhp, and the sad 190bhp.

If you get a tune that includes tuning for 92 octane you might get an additional 16 HP but if you are just talking about gains from the CAI and UDP and duals you might maybe 8-10
Duals are worth about 0-2
CAI's are worth about 0-5
UDP's are worth about 5-7
But the fact is you cant add up all HP gains that would be ricer math. Every time someone adds them all up and expects that amount of gain is usually disappointed at the dyno
I have actually see cars lose HP with a CAI. I have seen Duals gain nothing. The only known gain is the UDP They will give you at least 5 HP just by reducing drag.

ya i figured the true duals wouldn't help me for a while. only be good for sound and less constriction out the back. i'll probly slap in the UDP before i slap in an air intake because thats a nice cheapo mod.

psh 16hp is an over kill. Dont even expect 10hp seriously isnt that big of gain when it comes down to it.
Best bang for buck are pulleys and gears.
CAI is nothing but show remove your air silencer and put a KN in and theirs your CAI.

with those 3 mods together expect 15-20hp and 10-15tq at the flywheel, and the gears wont add anything, but they will shave off as much time as the other 3 mods added together expect to run a half second quicker than you are not~ there about.

your crazy to think your gonan gain 15-20 hp cause your honestly not
When I had true duals, headers, CAI, pulleys, chip I picked up a whopper 13 hp.
trust me you aint getting much wit just duals (thats prolly not even true Y to double pipe) and pulleys

its not much of a difference, they pick up far more hp/tq with heads/cam/intakes than a 99+ does though.

Actually you can pick up 10HP on a chip if you tune to 92 octane and about 6+ with bolt ons. I gained 16hp on my dyno a couple of years ago with nothing more than bolt-ons and a fordchip.

probably the biggest reason why I am annoyed that I have a V6 and not a V8.

I second that motion.
I have a 97 auto, intake makes noises, exhaust makes noises, gears make me burn out, pulleys woke something up, and my chip is the best bolt on ive bought so far. I can def tell a difference with one in.

Most cars with a cam get right at 10 RWHP with a tune, but I have some
dyno data that shows 6 RWHP on a stock setup that was tuned. I ALWAYS
say wait on the tune until you make some big changes, Like a cam. Even porting
without a cam usually does not need a tune.
That setup you list might get you 10-15 RWHP tops, but I think 8-10.
Supposedly MM&FF said you can get to 200 RWHP with just boltons,
but that would be one of our people online somewhere or we would
have heard of it, I have been here since day 1 in V6 modding...
and no one has gotten 200 RWHP from Boltons, AFAIK. Not saying
it is impossible, just unheard of. If I had a factory ringer V6 I bet
I could do it, but it would take some tricks that are not streetable
or at least what is considered normal "bolt-on" procedure.
