took the spoiler off to see what shape the hatch was in, as usual there was some surface rust and all kinds of dirt and shit built up in there...so i tookthe spoiler off and im going to be getting rid of the 3rd brake light and in the next few days hopefully will beable to bondo over the holes, so I have a smooth hatch for when i have to drill for the possibly a 94-98 (since they aint wrape around) spoiler Ill be putting on. Finished primer aswell just didnt take pics, roof and license plate spot are, exterior is all one color now
primer looks blotchy on hatch cuz it wasnt all dry yet in those spots

ill be having a actual place re-primer/paint and clear it. I was just rattle canning the black primer on so it was one color since I dont know how long it will be until I can get it all painted, plus im getting a new hood and all kinds of shit before I paint it aswell..its almost last on the to do list. black primer is more of a personal thing then anything

if you are going to cover holes, weld them first cause if you just put bondo on holes it will crack

the brand? hell yeah it sucks during cold winter months it like to shrink and during the summer it likes to expand.so lets say u fixed a dent suring the winter it will shrink and you will see the out line of the dent. then once it takes different forms it never goes back to normal. i use only "Rage gold" body filler

The steps your doing right now is what makes a paint job a paint job. This is how you seperate a $40k from a $1k paint job. Take it to a friend or to a shop and let them weld it. Filling holes takes alot of patience, when you weld it the metal will shrink you will have to beat on it and stretch it back it to make it work. Then you grind it down and then use body filler to do the minor work.
Body filler is not the cure all. You have an 1/8" to work with unless you want it to crack in the winter.
