swapping auto to manual

I have a blue auto 91 gt and i would love it to be manual. I'm pretty noob to cars but i know its possible to switch but can be expensive. So I have to ask does anyone know how much it would cost roughtly doing it yourself over paying to get it done and would it be worth it or should i just sell the automatic and look for the same car already with a manual transmission. I really do love my car and would hate to have to sell it. Ill post pics soon

if I had to do it, I would want to do it on a fox probably~ I personally would try all ways I could to sell the car and buy a manual~ but if you just dont want to expect to spend more than you thought to get the job done. T-5s are pretty cheap though

it will cost about 800 for a good used tranny i have one if you have trouble finding 1 ill let go for 650 this is in no way a sells pitch just info you also have to change pedals thats easy and you can use the hole for the speedo to run your clutch cable then rerout your speedo you can do this all with out removing the dash even though it is easier on the back trying to lie down and get to nuts and bolts and itll add about 1 to 2 hours time depending on your ability the drive shaft and everything else will swap just make sure you use a 10 1/2 inch clutch i used a center force clutch and loved it let me know how it goes
