The war on drugs is the biggest waste of taxpayer money, ever. The only reason it still goes on today, is because we've made an industry out of the war on drugs. We employ thousands of people and pay out millions (if not billions) of dollars to fight that war. It's cost more money and more lives than the war in Iraq and drawn far fewer protests and made far less progress. All the war on drugs does is create a buisness for organized crime. Just like prohibition.
