As many of you know the PCV system on the 3V mustang is great for sucking oil into the intake system. instead of adding a oil catch can like others have done I decided to get rid or it altogether. this is what I used.
If anyone else is interested here is the parts list:
3/8" K&N Breather (Passenger side) 62-1320*
5/8" K&N Breather (Driver's side) 62-1340
3/8" Vacuum Cap (C&L Intake Tube) 660-1698 NAPA
5/8" Vacuum Cap (intake manifold) 660-1696 NAPA

the PCV system on the 3V sucks and is real bad for sucking engine oil into the intake system.
PCV= positive Crankcase Ventalation
what it does is uses engine vacumn to remove crankcase pressure.
instead of sucking oil into the air intake of my engine I used old school breathers to let the naturally vent the pressure off.

Yeah I did the same on mine. It really got bad after I put the blower on, I guess stuffing 12lbs of boost down her throat she had to have something come back up. That oil in your intake tract will down grade your octane rating with a quickness and with the set-up I was running I couldnt take any chances.

Good deal, I actually just started researching this a few days ago because after my intake install I noticed a little bit of oil on top of my throttle body, I was like wtf? Then I found out the PCV is the culprit on these 3Vs.

not really. you actually have PCV valves on your car that stop the oil. the 3V doesn't

Our PCV valves are piles of shit and don't stop anything.

At least they tryed to stop the oil by installing a PCV valve. They didn't even bother on our cars. Not even a baffle inside the cam cover.

I ran a breather system on my 01 Cobra, but I have yet to look into it on the 04 Cobra. What kinds of issues are the pros/cons on our cars Spector?

Same as with any other car. The potential for oil vapor smell and light oil coating of the engine and the fact that unmetered air will be pulled in through the breathers. There is nothing special for our cars that isn't also true on any other car running breathers.

Nah, just increases the amount of oil/air moving in either direction.
