i got ma 01 mustrang v6 bout 2 weeks ago,i got it ok wasnt running great i replaced the wires, plugs ,oil change ,fuel pump ,air filter, and the coil, but also b4 replacing the coil and fuel pump my cats were flamming red i would say on fire inside so i was told, may be clogged up!
ok so i took it to a muffler shop took the cats out put straight pipe.
ok now sounds like its rattling, some say theres a leak somewhere or idk, it sounds not too good if i could say, sounds like a wack ass lil honda,it cost me 300$ to do the pipes done should i take it back n see if theres n e leaks or what?

It also could have a piece of the cat broke loose and went down the pipe.

lay under the car with the engine off. Hit the pipe in different places and listen for any noises.

I'm assuming its an auto if not it will vary slightly.
Rear end gears 4.10 ratio. Custom Handhelp tuner to make the shifts quicker and firmer. LOK limited slip differnetial. And if you want you can do all the bolt ons for a lil hp increase. If you got the money you can get a stroker kit which is about 1,500 maybe a lil less. This will give you more cubic inches. You could get a dry 50 shot of nitrous. A low boost super or turbo charger. Drag Radials but its a dd so only use that for the track. Some suspision (springs, shocks, struts) I'd get some subframe connectors. Take your pick.

4.10 means that your driveshaft turns 4.10 full rotations to one complete turn of the wheel. It makes you accelerate faster. A tuner you can get from americanmuscle.com or summitracing.com there are tons of places. Stroker kit makes your pistons come down farther in the engine which make more room for more and air fuel which will make a larger explosion than stock. Instead of it being a 3.8 liter it'll be 4.2 or sumtin like that. Nitrous is just a quick way for hp. Subfram connectors bolt or weld to the bottom side of the chassis and keeps your car from twisting during hard take off acceleration. Any more questions just ask you'll learn quick on this site.

even if that wasn't the problem i would fix that quickly. If you bought it from a dealer he might have just put on some tires to sell it and let you worry about it. what size are the fronts and what size are the backs

I just did the exact thing last week go to napa and get 2 18 mm spark plug non-foulers and get a 1/2" drill bit and drill out the bottom side then screw the 02 sensor into that and then screw it into the pipe. Remember to do it to the rear sensors.

Mine never threw a light cuz i put it on b4 i started it. I put on a new off road x pipe i have a rattling in the front which is a leak between the exhaust manifold and the downpipe your rattling might be the same or sumtin loose. And your car is running rich which means its putting extra fuel in the cylinder and thats causing your loss in gas mileage

the "second ones" only they are the ones toward the back. Since the front ones were in front of the cats anyway it still has the same amount of fumes the ones after them will have more fumes and make it run lean or rich since the cats aren't there anymore

ok here are your choices either get a tuner and have the code erased forever. Or buy another set of the non-foulers and don't drill the hole out and put the non drill in first then the drilled non fouler and then the sensor. You could also go to american muscle and try out their 60 dollar mil eliminatorsthey plug in between the o2 sensor and the harness.
