Question Reguarding Muffler and Tip Hooks

Quick question...

I just got a custom h-pipe, gt takeoffs, and mac flowpaths. I noticed that there are no hooks on the mac mufflers to hang. Do I need to weld some on there or will they be fine without hooks?

Also, the hooks on the GT tips...Will I need to do anything to those to make the tips fit below my bumper? I bought the 2 ford oem rear hangers and the ford muffler hanger and I was wondering if I had to do anything to make it fit right.

First off, the tip hangers from ford, carry them back. Get your muffler guy to make hangers. Easiest way. As far as the mufflers go, the muffler shop guy will probably weld a hook on them. I only used one of my hooks from my mufflers cuz I didn't feel like making another hanger lol.

Well see I'm not having a muffler shop put em in. My neighbor is a mechanic (has a lift in his shop) and we're going to install them ourselves.

The hangers didn't cost much so I'm not gonna bother returning them. My only concern is the metal hooks that are welded. Do I have to put new hooks on the tips to make them fit under the bumper (meaning will I have to alter the hooks in any way)? And do I need to have hooks attached to the muffler?

I'm surprised that they don't send hooks along with muffler purchases...Would make sense.

The hook on the tip will put the tip about 4 inches into your rear bumper if you use the stock hangers.

So basically I either need to get a GT bumper or make new hooks...I guess it'll be easier to just get new hooks lol....Now for the new hooks, I guess I'm gonna have to cut the old ones off or melt them off? And am I going to damage the tip in the process?

And as for the muffler hooks, I guess I'll have to get those too. I'm gonna have to match em up to the stock mufflers then.

you seem to have all you need minus the muffler hangers which they can fab up very easy.

the tip hangers are the part to worry about, if you dont have a GT rearbumper then they wont be long enough.

where's a good place to find tips other than ebay? How long are the GT tips?
