about all i have found is that auburns use cones, while the FMS uses clutches...supposedly the cones last longer and have smoother tourque transfer?

The way ive always been told is that basically if its not FMS for gears be prepared for all others to break on you.
I dunno how accurate the statement is but I went wit FMS when I had my V6 so I guess take that for what its worth

the FMS gear set for your car will be just as strong as a set of 9 inch gears... the weak link in teh v6 rear IS the tlok unit.... so if you can put up the extra 50 bucks and teh auburn is gonna take the power you put though it thats how I would go.

if you are keeping the 7.5 definatly go with an auburn, if you have an 8.8 you wont break the tlok lol unless its a pos.

An Auburn unit would be the way to go.
