does anyone know if I can bolt a muffler hanger (oem ford) on my passenger side so that my GT cat back will have a hanger for the passenger side muffler to fit into the hanger?

is the driver side the same as a GT or different?

I can't remember, but i think that the GT mufflers have different hangers. the v6 hanger for the muffler is more torward the axle on the pipe, instead of the rear of the muffler. i can't say for certain though

I know on mine, I used the factory hanger on the driver side and fabbed a new one for the passenger side. It will work with the ford hanger if I'm not mistaken, but exhaust shop won't charge you much of anything for a hanger.

anyone can do it im sure i just know johnny anywhere works lol thats up to you, its not a hard process really and anywhere can fab the connections it would just work smoother if the hangers would just bolt right in and then you coudl slide the mufflers in them and be done with that step instead of having to fab up some hangers, but it may be very simple to do also.

I've just been looking at the way the pipes come out under the bumper, and yours is the only one I like Brandon, because of its angle. So I'd like to get it done there.

well the tips are welded to the exhaust pipe, thus when he welds it onto the muffler the way the tips fit the bumper will probably angle down unless you chop them off and reweld, he can raise em up a bit, but if you think about the geometry, the muffler is in a fixed location via the hanger, the muffler back pipe section has to weld to it, thus it must angle down a bit.... or you have to alter the tips.... so they may angle down a while until you can buy new tips.

he may can get them up a bit just have to wait and see, but judging by the nature of the GT bumper having the tips higher up it may proove difficult. Just a wait and see thing.

regardless it can be fixed just will take buying a set of tips... but maybe he can work some magic just stress you want them pointed up like mine were, dont take alot of angle but you can stand up in a chair and "eye" it so they point up decent.

p.s. i try to keep the weld location hid but you probably cant do that since they are shorter tips....

You can buy them. I got mine at laurelmountainmustang.com because my ford dealer sucks. They should be the same as what's on your drivers side.
