Overdrive question didnt know where to put this

ok i pushed my overdrive buttion and there is a green light on my dash that said overdrive off. then i pushed it again and the light went off. isnt there suppose to be a light telling me the overdrive is on? thanks

No overdrive is on by default

O/D position is default ON, and there is no light to tell you that it is on.

When you press the button, it turns O/D OFF, and it lets you know.

Even if you leave it OFF when you turn the car on, it will be ON when you turn the car back on, because that is the default position.
