Been working a deal for the last 3 days to bring me home a 95 GT coupe. Sealed the deal today and will be picking the car up sat. Kind of a 3 way trade with my dad. Trading a 1980 GS750 and a 1973 GT750 suzuki for the GT then trading my vert for the GT to my dad. And my dad has the car sold already to my brother. I know, i know kind of confusing. But i get the GT i wanted, the guy gets the bikes he wanted and my dad gets more money than he originally wanted for the bikes So good deal for everyone. Here are a few pics. I will be repainting the side scoops back to red, but the "nostril's" on the hood will stay black. Will be changing the rims to the AL slots I just got, unless I get these bullit replica's for $75 with tires from craigslist. First upgrades will be cosmetic, louvers and 1/4 window scoops. Then i'll move onto CAI and exhaust. And will be hitting saleen up for those 3.55's they got

Its an auto. And ya i noticed the missing tailpipe too. Guy said it was starting to rust through behind the muffler so he took it off so it wouldn't fall off.
Anyone know if a cat back take off from a 99gt with bolt up and fit?

hmmm...good question, you would think it would fit, I think they all had an H-pipe and
2.25in piping. I think the 99+ had 3inch tips.

Got the new stang last night !!! Title says. GT/GTS but when i look up the vin it just says GT. But i'm not sure on the accuracy of the vin decoder i used. Anyone have a link to one they trust? However if it is a GTS they ordered all the options on it anyway, making it pretty much a regular GT. Power windows, seats, sunroof, has spoiler, cassette,CD, leather interior. Also Its got a HUGE K&N filter (in the engine bay, not fender) supposedly has an 88mm throttle body????? Has the strut tower brace(was this stock on a GT?) Will get pictures and stuff posted in a bit. I'm also looking for something to decode the axle. AX code on door tag is an M. I think i read before thats 2.73 but i also heard the GT/Auto came with 3.27? any help would be appreciated.

its probably 2.73 rear gears, you can look on the door jam to decode it to see what it is

Ok. looked over the car better(it was dark last night) Its got a 70mm throttle body, edlebrock/bbk. Huge K&N stuck to the stock intake tube. The gas pedal is very stiff. Is this common on this car? Probably gonna oil up the cable and check the pedal assembly. Moving the throttle on the TB doesn't seem to be whats causing it. And the door tag for the axle says M, just gotta find what that means.

on my 94gt i says m which is a locking 2.73 or 2.76... can't remember the exact ratio...
as far as i know on the gts i came with a 5.0 role up windows. iirc it came with 16 in 5 spoke rims, no spoiler and somethin else, but its all kinda fuzzy...
stock gt's came with the tower brace as far as i know, unless you want it completly stock you'll probably wanna change out the rear gears, m was the common axle, than there was one on manuals for a 3.08, than auto's was a 3.27 (if i remembered everything correctly)

Will def be changing gears. Probably a 3.55. Stock has the locking dif? so i won't have to spend money on a T-lok? That will be cool. Since you have a 94GT, how is your gas pedal? Is it stiffer than normal? and i've got the 5 spoke 16" rims. But i've got the spoiler and all power options, etc. I was just curious cause the title says GT/GTS but it had all the options. o'well, doesn't matter was just wondering. thanx for the info.

The gas pedal is a little stiff in these cars. I thought the same thing when I first got my 95 so no worries. The gears for a 5 speed were a 2.73 and the upgrade was 3.08. I'm not sure if the auto had the same or if they got 3.27's. When you swap out gears, I recommend 3.73's. The 3.55's aren't a bad choice either so look into it. Also, don't forget that you are going to have to correct your speedo after you do the swap. The GT does come with a trac lok so you don't have to buy that. Just get the whole gear install kit that comes with bearings and seals.

i never really thought about the gas pedal being stiff... never noticed it, only thing i noticed was the clutch since the car and truck i had before (96 protege and 96 ranger both 4 cyl) had hydrolic clutches and this obviously does not.
i couldn't say the 3.27 on the auto for sure, but i did read that somewhere cause i was looking for stock ratios for autocross purposes and was really bumbed cause i couldn't go lower than a 3.08 since i didn't have an auto.
after this race season i wanna throw some money at the car, i've been having the great 3.55/3.73 debate. personally i plan on building a 351 to go in there eventually and since i only want to do the gears once ill probably go with 3.55's but before i made plans to do this i was really thinking about 3.73's. I don't know what all plans you have for your 95, but especially with the auto i think you'd be happier with 3.73's. since what i eventually want built will have 300-400 maybe 450ish hp im going to go with the 3.55's
what all plans do you have for the car?

Basically i'm gonna do a modified stock. Port and polish heads and intake, maybe roller rockers/lifters(depending on what stock is??) Keeping the auto, shift kit and stall(2800), CAI, exhaust, smog delete,A/C delete, EGR delete(gotta read more on this), Tune, maybe underdrive pulley's, Gears, urethane bushings throughout, subframe connectors, maybe lower springs(haven't decided). Then some cosmetic things. Rear louvers, Quarter window scoops, hood scoop, chin spoiler, 1 piece headlights, vertical 3 Bar tail lights, stripes, bullit rims. I think thats it for now, besides minor things i wanna try and design and make. new A/C control knobs, pop up fuel door(like whats on some motorcycles) New intake emblem plate, and anything else to set it apart from the ones you see everyday.

i haven't really found a decent set for the 94-98, i found one but the plastic was very thick and... i dunno, hard to explain, it just didn't look good, if you find a really nice one, let everyone know, i'm sure other people would be interested.
EDIT: if you go this far i'm stealing your car and you don't get a second chance...
