So last week, everything is working fine. However one day I get in the car and the display to the CD player isn't working and the tape player keeps ejecting the cassette tape.
Now I have always planned on replacing the stock CD player - but I just wanted to know if anyone has ever experienced this before or if it was a sign of more things to come...
Thanks in advance!

On my '98 I encountered a problem with the split radio after a while. The CD player refused to read CD's. It would accept them read them with an error. I could skip tracks but the CD would never play.
I also think I had a problem with the cassette deck. I had a cassette hooked up to an MP3 player and it seemed to wear out very early
So come to find out - there was nothing wrong with the CD Player (However the clock display is STILL out), it was the cassette adapter that I was using.
FYI: Griffin DirectDeck sucks, do not buy it. Go with a Belkin if you must use the cassette adapter config. If you are having trouble with your cassette adapter, try removing the wheel with the rubber around it. This will improve noise reduction and allow your tape to play with out the 'clicking' noise or constantly swapping sides.
Good luck & Thanks to all of those who responded!
