Okay here's the pics. The body itself I expected to be much worse and i mean MUCH. There is some rust but most of it looks like surface rust. There are atleast to holes in the floor boards when the seats are mounted. So those will have to be replaced. From what I can tell the original owner was trying to do a flat black paint on it cheaply done! As soon as my tax return gets here i'm going to pick up the car and bring it home. Anyway I warn you it is a true PROJECT car so it isn't pretty lol.

i dunno why but secondly I wouldnt personally waste my 200 bucks on that. no way in hell. you can pick up anything to 86 if you want a carb 4 eye and have it in way better shape then that.
Thats just me now. Good Luck your gonna need it

It's gonna be a stripper. Anyway like I said if i can't build it to the way I really want it then i'm gonna build it into a drag car.
Edit: Anyway like I said this is a car i'm gonna learn to do things on. So i'm not worried about it being rough.

I really really suggest buying a donor car while your at it cause your need it to switch over every single piece over.

Not really none of the factory style interior will be there any longer. Everything is coming out. I'm gonna get a cage put in, racing seats, alluminum dash(seen it in some and really like it) hood will be replaced with a cowl induction hood. New aftermarket bumpers. List goes on and by the time i'm done it'll basicly be a whole new car.

im talking about your body panels. your no way in hell gonna be able to get those panels straight not wit those dents.
Interior is the easiest thing to do in any car that takes no brains to do. I can strip the interior of my car in less then 30 mins thats nothing. Im concerned for your outside look.
I still say forget this and get a "newer" 4 eye less headaches and you can still do all the work you want with like I said alot less headaches and cash needed to spend

Unfortunately my spending isn't that high right now and the outside is the least of my worries. Right now my main goal is to get it running and the interior and to get rid of any rust on the body. Exterior will come last. By the time i'm worried about the looks i should have no problem affording a donor car. At the same time I wana atleast try and work on the current panels. Like I said this is the car i'm using to learn to do the things I dont know how aka body work. That was the primary reason I wanted it.

that ain't nothing..
you guys should see my project.. (see attachment)
only difference is my interior's near mint, except for a cracked steering wheel.
it's all surface rust, except for the 1/4s and fenders... of which NOS pieces were included in the sale.. as well as a nice 455 donor and a very rare GS grille...

The mustang is in alot worse shape. I wouldn't waist a penny trying to get that motor to keep runnin. I would either take on car payments for a newer one or find a better one that doesn't run. people will want to get rid of a car for cheap if it doesnt run. (trust me) If you do keep that I would start by ripping the motor & all the wiring out. Focus on engine, tranny, & suspension. Then go for a used 8.8 rear end. Then a 331 stroker long block. Then you havn't even payed for half of it. I would look around.

wow, don't buy that POS, save up another couple thousand and buy something in better shape, you will save so much money in the long run if you do that. you should probably try to find a v8 car also, unless you are going carb, b/c it will make like a ton easier
