I called my dealer up and they quoted me $95.87 for the chin spoiler. This, after reading everyone else online get theirs for between $40-70. :-? He called it a "ground deflector." Same thing? That is just damned expensive.

I agree, but, if I could get it for $40-70 from a dealer, thats way cheaper than online because of shipping and all that.

gefracing.com:
Price: $54.95
Mounting Hardware: $11.95
Oversize Charge: $12.00
Shipping: UPS Ground: $21.91
Sales Tax: $0.00
Total: $100.81
That isn't any cheaper than the overpriced ford dealership.

Crossroads:
Sub-Total: $68.00
Table Rate (Best Way) : $12.00
Total: $80.00
So far they're looking the best... But that's still a ridiculous price.

Everyone on 3.8 was talking about how they got theirs for $45-$65 from local dealers. No shipping. That actually seems reasonable. And I call and it's $95 and will arrive Wednesday if I order today. And GEF is -more- expensive? That's weird. It's only like a one-inch piece of plastic. :-?

Yes I do go there! For the last three years I have gone for the All Ford Drags. It's a lot of fun. I just hope I do better this year than I did last year...

They look like the FR500's in Satin, I think if I were to get them I would have to get them in Chrome, they look so kewl going down the road in Chrome...
http://www.rhythmuniversity.com/donna/SVT%20Events/SCMC%20Show%20April%2027%202003/SCMC%20Output/pages/DSC00032.htm
Souns like Laser02 wants sumthing for nuthing to me, the chin spoiler is not really pricey considering all the other parts out there these days, and yes the other people did probably get it cheap because they didnt have to pay for shipping, they just walked into like GEF in Atlanta and picked it up... The chin spoiler does really set a car off, but you really have to be careful with entering/exiting drive ways and speed bumps and various off road areas. We almost got 1 put on my wifes care with the 99 Cobra fron valance, but just opted not to due to some of the reason i mentioned above.
But ya never know, down the road it could still happen...

I don't want "sumthing for nuthing"... But if people are getting it for ~$50, why would I want to pay DOUBLE that for the exact same product? And go read the threads on 3.8... They picked it up for usually $60 from their -local dealers-. Some even got it for $40ish. And GEF is -more expensive- than my local dealer, so recommending me to online sites that cost more and take longer doesn't really help me out.
