No, this is NO bullshit. This is what happened to me today at work.
About 2:30 came around, and this guy from CSI was at work. Outside parked his Ferrari, he bought Gran Turismo 4 and a bunch of other things, we talked for a bit and he headed out. When he left I noticed it was kinda windy so I watched outside. He was putting things away in his car, and the wind started to get a little worse. Then some people from Claim Jumper came out and started pointing, I thought they were pointing at the CSI guy..
Suddenly the wind got very violent, the CSI guy shoved everything into his car quickly and a gush of wind knocked over our garbage cans outside, then we heard banging up on the roof, and it got louder, suddenly the power went out. Everyone inside frooze. It was like they were waiting for an explosion, a scream, glass shattering, anything to break the silence. Then the wind was gone.
People started to leave the building, I stood at the door watching that nobody ran out with a DVD player or something. There was debry everywhere, and the power flickered back on a minute later. The manager announcing we had a tornado hit our store, freaked everyone out and everyone left the store. We looked around, the top left corner siding was ripped off the wall. It was dragged and pulled across the top of the roof, causing most of the damage and noise we heard. Around the building, a tree was pulled from it's roots and almost hit a parked car. Some people were stunned, some people were shocked in terror, and I was laughing.
Some of the patio furniture from the Wood Ranch place flew the umberllas all over the place. We didn't talk to anyone who "saw" this tornado, but you can't say a sudden gush of wind did this. People did see something though, they were pointing and some were freaking out.

The worst part of the story is..
No news station reported this, and nobody else except those who experienced it really knew what happened. I wish there was pics.

yeah thats crazy. there was a "microburst" a few blocks away from me last year. it occured near an amusement park. it is a real small intense whirlwind type thing. it destroyed a few houses and killed a small girl who was riding this one ride because the roof collapsed on her.

Man, there were some horrible microbursts in Decatur a couple years back. Destroyed a whole lot of crap. We were out of town on vacation, and when we came back, a lot of shit was different.

I'm a storm spotter...man that's some fun stuff. Alot of stuff like that normally is never reported b/c of the short amount of time it occured in. It's not bad till they don't register an F4 tornado...we sent them some pics and they finally admitted there was a tornado lol.

I work at Circuit City in the Northridge Fashion Center.
One of the ware house guys was outside during the time it happened. He said, "Imagine something exploded, the debry flying in the air, the wind had dirt in it with leaves making the tornado kinda look to it as it whipped around. This old woman was walking to her car and the wind snatched the bag out of her hand making it fly in the air."
